GW Rule #31
If any one far surpasses others, either in age, estate, or merit yet would give place to a meaner than himself in his own lodging or elsewhere the one ought not to except it, so he on the other part should not use much earnestness nor offer it above once or twice.
PEEVES
Try to never embarrass someone if they make less money or are not as successful. Be a considerate pooch.
MADAMA
Confusing to the modern person, but basically if someone is more affluent and/or accomplished, they should not to put others in a position of being embarrassed that they can’t reciprocate the favor as well as them.
SANDRA
Our culture has an unspoken class system by who makes the most money. Who is truly successful? I would argue that it is the honorable person who tries to leave the world a better place and is well-loved.
