In writing or speaking, give to every person his due title according to his degree & the custom of the place.

PEEVES

It’s a lot of work to earn a degree: Doctor, Reverend, Rabbi, & so on.  Be a polite pup and use it unless they tell you not to.  Call me, Your Majesty!  haha

MADAMA

You’ll never go wrong by using the full title of someone’s name.  Wait for them to tell you otherwise.

Often, as you get to know someone they will say you don’t have to use their title but when first meeting, it’s very important to respect their experience.
