Making a mean joke especially in the wrong situation is Troll Behavior and never ok.

Making others laugh at someone’s expense is cruel.  Period.  And, selfish.

At some point, people will do the same to you.  If you didn’t mean to hurt someone, take responsibility and apologize and mean it.  Put it in writing.
